Grupo BPX, the operator behind Vaidebet, is using Legitimuz to make onboarding faster while meeting Brazil’s new betting compliance requirements. The setup matters because regulated sports betting in Brazil now puts identity checks, fraud prevention, and user experience in the same queue.
BPX said it started preparing for the regulated environment before the final rules were published, basing its process on practices it had already seen in international markets. The company framed that as part of a broader push to build more secure and transparent customer flows.
The main operational change comes from document reuse in the Legitimuz ecosystem. If a user has already been verified on another integrated operator platform, they can complete a new check with a single selfie instead of resubmitting documents, which cuts steps from the signup flow.
According to data shared by the company, about 87% of customers currently use the document reuse feature during registration. In other words, for most users the verification flow is already the shortcut, not the exception.
BPX also said facial biometrics are doing double duty: confirming identity and supporting checks required under betting rules, including screening for people on blocked lists or individuals with relationships that bar them from betting. That is the part PSPs and operators will recognize immediately—compliance is not just KYC theater, it is part of access control.
BPX said Legitimuz stands out for the speed of the validation process, but the article cuts off before naming the second feature in full. What is clear is that the partnership is being used as a compliance tool first and a UX improvement second, which is usually how these things end up mattering in regulated markets.
