Binance starts second withdrawal phase after $6.3 billion hack, with more assets live from Nov. 4
Binance said additional cryptocurrency withdrawals will resume progressively from 04:00 UTC on Tuesday, after the exchange’s initial reopening on Nov. 1. For PSPs and crypto payment operators, the relevant detail is simple: recovery is being staged by asset and network, while deposits stay open.
- Binance said the second phase covers additional assets, with withdrawals rolling out progressively as security and readiness checks are completed. The exchange said it is prioritizing tokens based on user demand over the past week, which is the kind of operational triage that usually matters more than any headline number.
- The move follows last week’s $6.3 billion hack and Binance’s initial reopening on Nov. 1. In other words, the exchange is still working through the operational aftermath while trying to keep withdrawal access moving in controlled batches.
- According to Binance, networks included in the second phase are Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, XRP Ledger, Sui, Arbitrum, Optimism, Tron and Base. For payment flows, that means access is not being restored uniformly; it is being restored by network.
- Deposits remain available, even as withdrawals continue to come back online. That split matters for treasury and risk teams because it preserves inbound flow while the outbound side is still under staged recovery.
