Betting site uses Banco Master founder Daniel Vorcaro’s name on a prohibited platform in Brazil
Vorcaro777 is still accessible and is using Daniel Vorcaro’s surname and image in its branding, even as Brazil’s federal government has banned fixed-odds betting activity. For PSPs, acquirers, and banks, the useful part is not the branding stunt itself; it is the gap between the ban on paper and what remains live online.
- The platform, Vorcaro777, combines a photo of Daniel Vorcaro, founder of Banco Master, with its own name. A check carried out on Thursday (8/10) found the site still accessible, with casino games and sports betting on offer.
- The site operates in the shadow of MP (provisional measure) 1.394, published on 25 September 2026, which prohibits the exploitation, offering, intermediation, and advertising of fixed-odds betting in Brazil, including sports betting and online games. The measure also covers operators based abroad that offer betting to people located in Brazil.
- The site displays content in Portuguese and prices in reais. Among the games shown is Fortune Tiger, known locally as “tigrinho,” alongside slot and live casino options. It also advertises free spins, bonuses for new users, and rewards for referring friends.
- The terms of use are written in English and refer only to a generic operator, without identifying the legal entity, CNPJ, or country of registration. The privacy policy also does not name the company responsible for the platform.
- Brazil’s federal government has stepped up enforcement since the MP was published. Between 25 September and 6 October, 13,241 illegal sites were sent for blocking, according to a statement from the Ministry of Justice and Public Security on Tuesday (6/10). The requests came from Ciberlab, which is linked to the Ministry of Justice, and the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, under the Ministry of Finance. The government also asked for the removal of 3,552 pages, profiles, channels, groups, and servers tied to illegal betting offers on digital platforms.
The government said sites and apps from previously authorized platforms were supposed to become unavailable on 6 October. The measure takes effect immediately, but still needs congressional approval to become permanent law.
