Silverflow adds Discover Network and Diners Club International through a single API

Silverflow has announced an integration with Discover Network and Diners Club International, giving acquirers, PSPs, and commerce platforms a way to enable both schemes through one connection. For high-risk merchants, the practical point is simple: fewer legacy integration headaches when you need to support more card acceptance across cross-border-heavy verticals.

  1. Discover Network and Diners Club International are accepted in more than 185 countries and territories and collectively process billions of transactions annually. Silverflow says its integration lets customers activate both schemes without the traditional work usually tied to ISO 8583 messaging standards.
  2. Instead of wiring into card networks through older messaging stacks, Silverflow uses a cloud-native, API-first architecture with modern JSON-based interfaces. In plain terms, that means the platform connects directly to the networks and can surface real-time transaction data, improving observability across acquiring portfolios.
  3. The integration is aimed at sectors where cross-border payments matter most: airlines, hotels, online travel agencies, ride-hailing platforms, and urban mobility operators. Silverflow also flagged travel, hospitality, retail, and transportation as areas where demand for international card acceptance is especially relevant.
  4. Anne Willem de Vries, Co-founder of Silverflow, said demand for international payment acceptance continues to rise as merchants serve customers who want to pay with the cards they already use at home. Rajiv Gupta, Vice President of International Markets Development at Discover Network, said the integration provides a more streamlined path for merchants and acquirers to reach cardholders worldwide.
  5. The Discover Network integration is already live, while Diners Club International connectivity is expected to follow. The announcement also fits Silverflow’s broader strategy after its recent Series B funding round: replacing fragmented legacy processing infrastructure with a unified cloud-native payments stack.

One detail worth keeping in mind for PSPs and acquirers: this is not a Visa or Mastercard scale play, even after global expansion. The value here is narrower and more operational — another route to card acceptance, with less integration drag than the usual legacy approach.
