Video circulating on X claims Drake won $30 million on Stake, but the session details are missing
A video posted on X shows an influencer hitting a max win in Starlight Princess by Pragmatic Play and is being shared as proof of a $30 million win on Stake. The catch, for operators and PSPs watching this space, is that the clip does not show the final amount, the date of the session, or the stake size.
- The video is being amplified by large entertainment accounts on X, which is part of why some users have questioned whether the win is real. When a clip travels faster than the underlying facts, payment and gaming teams usually get dragged into the discussion whether they like it or not.
- The original clip shows an influencer demonstrating a max win on Starlight Princess, a slot from Pragmatic Play. What it does not show is the data that would normally let anyone verify the outcome: the total payout, when the session happened, and how much was wagered.
- Earlier in the second quarter of this year, Bloomberg compiled facts suggesting that during their livestreams, Drake and Adin Ross win several times more than ordinary players on games from EasyGo, a provider owned by Stake’s parent company.
- For years, there have also been rumors that some of the operator’s ambassadors play with virtual money and receive preferential odds on certain games. Trainwreckstv has repeatedly made that accusation against fellow content creator Roshtein.
