Merchants Using Ant International’s AI Payment Integration Tools Quadruple in 12 Months

Ant International says the number of merchants using AI tools to integrate payment services has quadrupled over the past year. For PSPs and high-risk merchants, the detail that matters is not the hype around “agentic commerce,” but the speed and scope of what Ant is now wiring into onboarding, routing, disputes, treasury, and FX.

  1. Ant International disclosed the figures on September 18 at its annual VOYAGE merchant event in Shanghai. The company said it is planning a broader rollout of AI-native tools across payments, foreign exchange, treasury, and credit operations.
  2. At the event, Ant International unveiled a full stack of AI-native financial solutions spanning more than 100 different products. Named components include Antom 3-in-1 Transformer as a payment foundation model, FalconTST for FX and liquidity forecasting, WhaleRTP as a blockchain-based wholesale settlement platform, and AMP (Agentic Mobile Protocol).
  3. The company expects 95% of merchants to be able to onboard new payment methods within one hour by the end of 2026. It also said 89.5% of merchants using its Antom merchant payment service have already deployed AI agents, and that AI now assists with 81.4% of payment tasks.
  4. Ant International’s centerpiece is Antom Autopilot, a conversational tool built on the announced payment foundation model. It is designed to handle the merchant payment lifecycle in one interface, including onboarding, integration, payment routing, fraud protection, revenue recovery, troubleshooting, reconciliation, and market expansion. The company said it cut lead time to first transaction from days to minutes in real-world cases.
  5. Other products in the stack are aimed at specific payment frictions. Antom SmartDispute advises on dispute management and appeal strategies and is credited with lifting average dispute success rates from 24.5% to 41.8%. Antom AutoDispute automates the dispute process end-to-end. Antom Revenue Booster applies smart routing and retry logic to card payments, while Antom EasySafePay keeps customers on the merchant checkout page instead of sending them to a separate wallet app.

The rollout spans Ant International’s four business pillars — Alipay+, Antom, WorldFirst, and Bettr — and the company said users should expect a phased expansion into global markets through the second half of 2026. For high-risk operators, that usually means the practical question is not whether the AI demo looks good, but which parts of the payment stack Ant will actually let merchants automate first.
