Gaming Corps signs slots deal with Veikkaus ahead of Finland’s 2027 licensing reform

Gaming Corps signs slots deal with Veikkaus ahead of Finland’s 2027 licensing reform

Gaming Corps has signed a content agreement with Veikkaus, Finland’s state-owned gaming operator, with the first phase focused on selected slot games. The timing matters because Finland is set to move to a competitive licensing system on 1 July 2027, which will change how suppliers and operators position themselves in the market.

  1. The initial rollout will centre on Gaming Corps’ slots catalogue. The Swedish developer said the agreement opens the door to further expansion later, with potential additions including table games, mine games, plinko titles and multiplier games.
  2. For Veikkaus, the deal adds another content supplier as it prepares for a market shift away from the current monopoly-based setup for online casino games and betting. In practice, that means supplier breadth is becoming part of the pre-2027 planning rather than an afterthought.
  3. The announcement does not set a fixed timetable for every game, and it does not confirm that all future content categories will be included in the initial launch. The immediate scope is limited to the slots content identified for the first phase.
  4. Gaming Corps gets a new distribution channel with an established domestic operator before the licensing regime takes effect. Veikkaus gets a content relationship that can be extended if the parties decide to broaden the cooperation and if any regulatory requirements allow it.
  5. The two sides have not disclosed detailed commercial terms. What is clear is the strategic context: Finland’s 1 July 2027 reform is pushing operators and suppliers to line up content, partnerships and market access well before the rules change.

For high-risk suppliers, the useful bit here is not the slots catalogue itself; it is the sequencing. Veikkaus is already building supplier relationships ahead of Finland’s shift to a licensing framework, and that is usually when content decisions start turning into market-access decisions.
