H2 reports fake site to Brazil’s SPA and flags more than 45 domains using its brand

H2 reports fake site to Brazil’s SPA and flags more than 45 domains using its brand

The H2 has reported h2bets.online to Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA/MF) after the site copied the H2bet name and logo, displayed fake Ministry of Finance authorization seals, and asked for PIX deposits. For PSPs and payment teams, the interesting part is simple: the fraud pattern is already crossing into payments, with PIX charges generated in favor of third parties.

  1. h2bets.online was registered on 26 September, one day after the publication of Provisional Measure No. 1,394, and it presents itself as H2bet without any connection to the company. The H2 says the complaint was filed with SPA/MF under number 64873425, backed by technical material from its internal monitoring.
  2. In a test run by H2, the platform generated PIX charges in favor of third parties. That detail matters because it turns a brand impersonation case into a payment-flow issue: the site is not just mimicking a sportsbook, it is actively collecting money through a local instant-payment rail.
  3. The company says its monitoring found more than 45 domains misusing its name in less than seven days after the MP was published. Among them is h2bet.games, which was also mentioned in a report by Veja; H2 says that address does not belong to the company either.
  4. Ueltom Lima Gomes, CEO of H2, said: “It’s not just our brand at stake. A clandestine site uses a name similar to ours, stays online, and can confuse people precisely when they need reliable information most. Those operating outside the rules need to be identified and taken down.”
  5. The SPA/MF operator list identifies H2 Licensed Ltda. as the company behind the H2 Bet and SeuBet brands, with official domains h2.bet.br and seu.bet.br. H2 says no other betting domain belongs to the company.

The timing is the point here. With Provisional Measure No. 1,394, authorized betting operators are shutting down their operations, while clandestine sites remain accessible and use familiar brand names to catch bettors looking for balance and withdrawal information.
