Midnite launches Pay by Bank in the UK via TrueLayer

Midnite has gone live with TrueLayer’s Pay by Bank in the UK, adding instant deposits and payouts for sportsbook and iGaming players. For high-risk operators, that matters because payments are where users notice friction first, and where bank-to-bank flows can cut out card details entirely.

1. Midnite, founded in 2018, says it has built its own mobile-first technology platform covering sports betting and iGaming, and it is now using TrueLayer’s Pay by Bank to let players deposit and withdraw directly from bank accounts.
2. The flow is designed for mobile: players can authenticate with their bank using biometrics, get real-time payment confirmation, and complete deposits or withdrawals in a few taps through an app-to-app journey.
3. Midnite says the early performance is strong. The operator also points to TrueLayer’s user network of 27 million users across the UK and Europe as part of the setup behind that early traction.
4. Christian Huynh, lead product manager at Midnite, said players expect money in and out to be “instant and secure,” and that Pay by Bank gives the operator the infrastructure to deliver that.
5. Roberto Villani, VP of iGaming at TrueLayer, framed iGaming as the place where payments “get stress-tested,” adding that operators need certainty on every transaction and that Pay by Bank was built for money in and out in seconds.
