BC.GAME launches sports betting and casino in Ghana after regulatory approval
BC.GAME has gone live in Ghana, adding the country to its regulated footprint alongside Mexico and Nigeria. For PSPs and other payments partners, the important part is simple: the operator is now working inside a licensed framework in a market that is growing fast and is being treated as commercially relevant, not just “emerging” in the abstract.
- BC.GAME launched its sports betting and online casino offering in Ghana after securing approval from the Gaming Commission of Ghana, the country’s gambling regulator. Its platform is now live at bcgame.com.gh.
- The Ghana launch makes the market BC.GAME’s third regulated jurisdiction, after Mexico and Nigeria. The company entered Nigeria earlier this year.
- Adrian Chen, BC.GAME’s senior legal counsel, said the move fits the company’s regulated expansion plans. He said Ghana’s licensing framework matters because the operator wants to operate “transparently and responsibly” and keep its products and processes aligned with Ghanaian requirements.
- BC.GAME also framed Ghana as attractive because of its “well-established regulatory structure,” highly connected population, and strong football and digital entertainment culture. The company said it has tailored its local operation to make the platform clearer and more accessible for Ghanaian users.
- H2 Gambling Capital data cited in the release puts Ghana’s online gross win at $903.5 million in 2025, up 24% from $729.8 million the previous year. That puts some numbers behind the usual “fast-growing market” label operators like to throw around.
BC.GAME’s entry follows Kaizen Gaming’s Betano launch in Ghana in February. The operator’s regulated push also comes after a rough patch elsewhere: it withdrew its Curaçao licence in December last year, citing an “increasingly hostile” operating environment, after a November court ruling declared the company bankrupt for failing to pay players funds owed. It was also stripped of its white label licence in the UK.
