Smaller FinTech deals dominated this week as $541m was raised across 15 rounds

This week’s FinTech funding tally came in at $541m across 15 deals, a sharp step down from the previous week’s $1.2bn across 21 deals. For PSPs and payment operators, the useful read is not the headline number itself, but where the money went: the US took 11 of the 15 deals, and RegTech led sector activity with five rounds.

  1. Only six of the 15 deals cleared the $10m mark, but two rounds still crossed $100m. The biggest was Armadin, which closed a $255.5m Series B round and said the investment valued it at over $2.5bn. The company launched out of stealth mode just seven months ago, so this was a quick jump from hidden to very expensive.
  2. WealthTech company Jeeves raised $110m in equity financing and launched its own stablecoin wallet, which it says can send payouts to 190 countries. For high-risk businesses, that combination matters because it points to more payment rails being built around stablecoins rather than traditional card or bank transfer stacks.
  3. The US dominated the week, accounting for 11 of the 15 deals. The US-based companies were Armadin, Jeeves, Reco, HIFI, Modulate, Elio Mortgage, Menos AI, Mona, Palma.ai, MoneyStack and RiskScout.
  4. The other countries represented were Saudi Arabia with erad, Luxembourg with Osavul, France with Marble and Portugal with FRANK, each with one deal apiece. That is a fairly concentrated map for a week that still managed to spread capital across cyber, wealth, lending, infrastructure and insurance.
  5. By sector, RegTech had the busiest week with five deals: Modulate, Osavul, Marble, Palma.ai and RiskScout. WealthTech followed with three deals, as did marketplace lending. There were also two CyberTech rounds, plus one infrastructure and enterprise software round and one InsurTech investment.

There was also a broader backdrop worth noting. Research from RegTech Analyst found that global RegTech companies raised $734.8m across 108 deals in Q2 2026, down 38% from $1.19bn across 124 transactions in Q2 2025. Deal volumes fell 13% over the same period. Separately, FinTech Global said global FinTech investments rose 56% quarter on quarter in Q2 to $30.9bn across 872 deals, up from $19.8bn across 896 deals in Q1.
