ChatBet partners with iSolutions to expand conversational betting across Africa

ChatBet has teamed up with iSolutions so sportsbook operators on the iSolutions platform can offer AI-powered betting flows through WhatsApp, Telegram, and web or app-based chat widgets. For high-risk operators, the point is not the chatbot gimmick; it is a new acquisition and transaction layer that sits inside channels players already use.

  1. Operators using iSolutions will be able to integrate ChatBet’s conversational betting technology and let players discover markets, build bet slips, and complete betting journeys in chat. The supported channels listed in the announcement are WhatsApp, Telegram, and web or app-based chat widgets.
  2. The companies say the setup is meant to reduce the friction of traditional sportsbook apps and mobile websites. In practice, that matters most in markets where messaging apps already serve as the default digital interface for communication, transactions, and brand interaction.
  3. ChatBet founder and CEO Josh Swerdlow said iSolutions gives the company a platform partner for expansion across Africa and other high-growth markets. He also framed conversational betting as a way to let players discover, engage, and transact through conversations they already understand, rather than forcing another standalone app into the mix.
  4. iSolutions co-founder and director Filippo Ceci said the company’s policy is to integrate the best products available on the market based on client choices and supported by consultancy. He added that the partnership reflects that approach and that conversational betting is particularly well suited to Africa and other mobile-first markets.
  5. ChatBet and iSolutions are already working on an initial operator deployment, with further launches expected across iSolutions’ operator network. ChatBet was launched by Bola Group in April, which said it was the first conversational betting platform of its kind in Africa.

For PSPs and acquiring teams, the operational question is straightforward: this kind of channel shift pushes betting activity deeper into messaging-led user journeys, so operator onboarding, payment initiation, and transaction monitoring need to work in a chat-first flow, not just inside a sportsbook app.
