Betting balances on Pay4Fun transaction accounts fell 91.8% after Brazil’s MP 1.394/2026
Pay4Fun says the money held by bettors in its transaction accounts dropped 91.8% between September 28 and October 5, after Brazil published a provisional measure that ordered fixed-odds betting and online games to stop. For PSPs in high-risk, the useful signal is simple: when withdrawal windows open, balances can disappear fast.
- According to Pay4Fun, the decline happened in the days after
Medida Provisória nº 1.394/2026was published on September 25 and required the interruption of fixed-odds betting and online gaming in Brazil. - The company said bettors’ balances in transaction accounts fell in a sequence of drops over the monitored period, with the sharpest one-day move between September 30 and October 1, when the balance dropped 61.1% from the previous day.
- Before that, Pay4Fun recorded decreases of 31% between September 28 and 29, and 56% between September 29 and 30. The balance then fell another 11% between October 1 and 2, followed by an additional 23% between October 2 and 5.
- The voluntary withdrawal window ended at 23:59 on October 5. Over the full period, Pay4Fun said the accumulated reduction in the funds held in transaction accounts reached 91.8%.
- Pay4Fun said any amounts left in accounts after the voluntary redemption period follow the regulatory process for returning funds to users, based on registration data and the bettor’s linked bank account of origin. If automatic return is not possible, the funds move through the government’s prescribed flow.
