Fireblocks adds Circle Gateway and CPN for USDC transfers and fiat payouts in 50+ countries

Fireblocks has made Circle’s Gateway and Circle Payments Network (CPN) natively available inside its stablecoin infrastructure, giving customers a way to move USDC across chains and into local fiat payouts without leaving the Fireblocks policy environment. For high-risk PSPs, the practical point is simple: fewer pre-funded correspondent accounts, faster settlement, and the same controls applied to the flow.

  1. Gateway gives Fireblocks customers access to a USDC Virtual Wallet that aggregates balances across supported chains into a single account and executes transfers directly. In the post by Fireblocks Vice President Partnerships Brandon Goodwyn, incoming USDC is deposited automatically into the Gateway balance, and cross-chain transfers can run without gas token dependency or destination chains.
  2. Fireblocks said Gateway is most material for customers managing USDC across three or more supported chains. Customers on fewer chains, or those mainly focused on cross-border fiat payouts, are better served by CPN, according to the post.
  3. CPN is a network of banks, PSPs and virtual asset providers (VSPs) that enables real-time USDC on-chain settlement to local fiat currency in more than 50 countries. Once accessible within Fireblocks, a payments company can send USDC from a Fireblocks wallet and the recipient receives local fiat currency, with no correspondent bank in the flow.
  4. The operational difference is the bit finance teams care about: capital sitting in pre-funded correspondent accounts is freed for operational use, and settlement that took days completes in minutes, per the post.
  5. Fireblocks said its platform acts as the control layer for Gateway transfers and CPN payouts, so transaction authorization policies, counterparty whitelists, multiparty approval above defined thresholds, travel rule data, and sanctions screening all follow the same policy framework used for other digital asset flows.

Spencer Spinnell, senior vice president, global payments and enterprise partnerships at Circle, said Fireblocks customers can now reach 50+ countries for USDC-settled local fiat payouts without leaving the environment where they already manage policy, compliance and approvals. PYMNTS also reported in September that Circle and Fireblocks partnered to make it easier and safer for financial institutions to develop digital asset offerings.
