LeoVegas launches in-house Tiger sportsbook in the UK across BetMGM, LeoVegas, and BetUK

LeoVegas launches in-house Tiger sportsbook in the UK across BetMGM, LeoVegas, and BetUK

LeoVegas has taken its proprietary sportsbook, Tiger, live in the UK on three of its brands: BetMGM, LeoVegas, and BetUK. For PSPs and operators in high-risk verticals, the part that matters is simple: this is another example of a group moving sports betting onto its own stack after buying Tipico US in 2024.

  1. On Wednesday, LeoVegas launched Tiger in the UK market across BetMGM, LeoVegas, and BetUK. The product had already been rolled out in Denmark, Brazil, and Sweden, making the UK the latest market in the group’s two-year build-out of its proprietary sportsbook.
  2. Tiger is powered by the Tipico US platform LeoVegas acquired in 2024. The company says the setup gives it faster innovation and greater adaptability, which is corporate speak for not having to wait around for someone else’s roadmap every time it wants to change pricing or product logic.
  3. LeoVegas says Tiger includes enhanced odds boosts, a partial cash-out option, and a flex combi product designed to give bettors more flexible combination betting options. Those are the sort of features that matter in competitive sportsbook markets, where product depth is part of the retention game.
  4. Adrian Vella, chief product and technology officer at LeoVegas Group, called the UK launch “one of the most significant moments” in the company’s two-year journey to build a proprietary sportsbook. James Derbyshire, sports director UK & Ireland at LeoVegas Group, said the UK is “one of the most competitive igaming markets in the world.”
  5. When LeoVegas announced the Tipico US acquisition, MGM Resorts International said the deal would let LeoVegas Group run a purpose-built proprietary sportsbook across all international markets and brands, except those exclusive to the US BetMGM joint venture with Entain. In other words: the tech stack is now part of the strategy, not just a vendor detail.

LeoVegas first launched its in-house sportsbook in Denmark last year. At the time, the company had said the rollout would follow a phased sequence, and the UK launch now shows that sequence has reached one of the group’s most important markets.
