Midnite partners with BR-DGE to add Pay-By-Bank, more PSPs and smarter routing
UK sportsbook and casino operator Midnite has moved to BR-DGE’s payment orchestration platform to improve pay-in and payout performance as it expands. For high-risk operators, the point is obvious: once a single PSP setup starts slowing product growth, payments become a scaling problem, not just an ops detail.
- Midnite previously ran payments through direct integrations with providers in the UK and Ireland. That setup worked at first, but Midnite’s rapid expansion meant it needed a more flexible payment strategy to keep pace with its app experience.
- With BR-DGE, Midnite has already integrated TrueLayer’s Pay-By-Bank option and plans to add more alternative payment methods. The company says this will support new market entry by giving it a payments setup that can handle different customer needs from day one.
- BR-DGE will also add more PSP connectivity for Midnite, which should let the operator use smart routing to optimize costs, acceptance rates and uptime for both deposits and withdrawals. BR-DGE Vault will handle centralised tokenisation, so stored card data remains portable and checkout disruption is reduced.
- Midnite will also get gaming-specific performance benchmarking and market insights from BR-DGE, based on data across multiple regulated markets. In practice, that gives the operator another input when balancing cost, security, acceptance and user experience across payment journeys.
- Jacob Spencer, CRO at BR-DGE, said Midnite had built a strong platform on a single PSP, which worked domestically but limited how quickly it could add new payment methods or move into new markets. He said moving to an independent orchestration layer “mitigates that technical debt in one step.”
Christian Huynh, Lead Product Manager at Midnite, said the operator wants every part of the experience to feel “built different,” including payments, and is focused on creating payment journeys that can be rolled into new markets as the company grows.
