Influencer Pam do Grau targeted in online betting fraud operation in Mato Grosso

Brazilian influencer Pamela Cristiane da Silva, known as Pam do Grau, was targeted in Operation Jogo Duplo in Nova Mutum, Mato Grosso. The case matters for high-risk PSPs because the police say the betting links she promoted were tied to a scheme built on fake “wins,” blocked withdrawals, and a rotating set of short-lived operators.

1. Pamela Cristiane da Silva, 30, was investigated after promoting online betting companies that, according to the police, had accumulated 355 fraud complaints across different Brazilian states. The scheme allegedly used manipulated game platforms where results were artificially favorable, and the recordings were then posted on her Instagram profile, which has about 120,000 followers, to push deposits.

Delegado Jean Paulo Ferreira said she received access to a fake link that led to a rigged version of the platform. “She had the role of promoting the companies and the companies carried out the scams. She received a fake link that gave access to the platform where she always won falsely. Then she had to film the screen ‘winning’ and promote it to attract more people,” he said.
3. Her compensation was tied directly to the losses of players who arrived through her referrals. Ferreira said: “She earned from the losses of these people who played through her referral.” For payment providers, this is the familiar referral-fraud pattern: traffic is bought with influencer content, then monetized through player losses rather than any real product value.
4. Police identified R$ 928 mil moving through Pamela’s bank account between June 2025 and April 2026, according to the Civil Police. That sits against a declared monthly income of R$ 901, with no formal employment link. During the operation on Tuesday (8/9), search and seizure orders were executed at her home, and the court also authorized the breach of telematic secrecy for seized devices and tax secrecy for 2023 to 2026.
5. The court ordered the blocking of R$ 642.845,45 linked to the influencer, the seizure of vehicles registered in her name, and the suspension of her Instagram profile. Pamela was also fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet. Among the seized assets were a jet ski and trailer, two electric scooters, four motorcycles, a VW Jetta 2.0, a small trailer, a camera, two phones, and a drone; the vehicle package was valued at about R$ 400 mil.

Police also said some of the investigated companies operated for about two to three months before shutting down and reappearing under new links and names, while Pamela kept promoting them. One recurring complaint from victims was the inability to withdraw balances shown as winnings inside the games.
