Brazilian influencer Gabriel Spalone arrested in Osasco over extortion allegations tied to R$ 146 million PIX case

Gabriel Spalone was arrested by civil police in Osasco, in Greater São Paulo, on allegations of extortion tied to a dispute over a million-real debt. For high-risk payments people, the important part is not the celebrity angle: the case sits on top of an existing criminal probe involving alleged diversion of R$ 146 million via PIX.

  1. Spalone was arrested by officers from the 1st Anti-Kidnapping Division of the Department of Strategic Police Operations (Dope), who executed temporary arrest and search-and-seizure warrants issued by the Regional Guarantees Court of Osasco.
  2. According to the accusation, after being released in the investigation into the alleged R$ 146 million diversion, he began demanding money from Marcio Eduardo Nozari and Marcel Rosica Anconi, partners at Cargobr Transportes Ltda., claiming he was owed funds.
  3. The businessmen reportedly said a financial offset had already been made in connection with another deal between Márcio and Spalone, in which losses had occurred. That dispute over the offset is said to have triggered the collections.
  4. The complaint says Spalone threatened the two businessmen and their lawyer, identified as Bruno, and claimed to be part of Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC). He allegedly threatened to kidnap family members of all three unless he received the money he demanded.
  5. The Osasco court authorized the temporary arrest, and Spalone is expected to appear at a custody hearing on Thursday (8). His lawyer, Eduardo Maurício, said he has not yet seen the case file because it is under judicial secrecy, denied that Spalone belongs to the PCC, and said the defense will ask for his release at the hearing and, if necessary, seek to overturn the arrest.

Spalone is also facing criminal proceedings for qualified theft and criminal association in connection with the alleged R$ 146 million scheme under investigation by São Paulo police. He was detained at Buenos Aires International Airport in September 2025 after being placed on Interpol’s Red Notice list, following earlier stops in Dubai and Panama.
