Superbet launches 24/7 support line in Brazil with IPJ as it flags risky betting behavior

Superbet has launched Linha Super, a free 24-hour support channel for people dealing with betting-related problems in Brazil. For PSPs and operators in high-risk verticals, the useful part is not the campaign gloss: Superbet is openly saying it will use alerts, restrictions, and temporary blocks when user behavior points to risk.

1. Line Super was created in partnership with IPJ (Instituto de Proteção ao Jogador) and is part of Superbet’s national Responsible Gaming campaign. The company says the service is available 24 hours a day and free of charge.
2. CEO Alexandre Fonseca told Poder360 that the platform is prepared to apply alerts, restrictions, and temporary blocks to users showing risky behavior. His line was blunt enough: a sustainable operation should not aim to maximize betting activity “at any cost.”
3. The campaign features former footballer Cafu and carries an investment of R$ 60 million. Its slogan is “Na Superbet, ter limite é a regra do jogo.” The messaging targets specific patterns: spending family money, stretching funds beyond what was planned, spending too much time betting, and using a credit card to keep playing.
4. One planned measure, called “Limpeza do Algoritmo,” is designed to redirect users who repeatedly show interest in betting toward responsible gambling content. Superbet also said the IPJ partnership capacity has been expanded to 3,500 users.
5. The service is open not only to Superbet customers but also to users of other platforms, as well as family members and close contacts seeking guidance. Fonseca said that once someone asks for help, there should not be a commercial barrier.
6. Superbet said the governance model keeps roles separated: the company funds and promotes the channel, while assessments, support, and referrals are handled by IPJ. Superbet said it does not have access to the content of conversations or the medical information of the people being assisted.
7. The campaign is scheduled to run until December, but Fonseca said the support line existed before the campaign and will continue after it ends. He also said the partnership with IPJ has been in place since 2024.

The timing matters because a study by the Frente Parlamentar Mista da Educação, in partnership with Equidade.info and published on Thursday (10/9), found that 20.4% of students in the final years of elementary school and in high school had already placed online bets on illegal sites. The survey covered 1,912 students from 191 schools across Brazil between August and September.
9. The same study found the figure rises to 32.3% among 17-year-olds and to 49.7% among boys in the 3rd year of high school. For legal platforms, users must be over 18, with validation by CPF and facial recognition.

For operators and PSPs, the operational detail is the point: this is not just a public-facing responsible gaming message, it is a setup with user redirection, external clinical responsibility, and the stated willingness to interrupt activity when risk signals appear.
