World Gaming says Brazil is a cornerstone of its portfolio as ICE Barcelona 2027 adds a Digital Transformation and FinTech pavilion
World Gaming Business, formerly Clarion Gaming, is doubling down on Latin America, with Liliana Costa saying Brazil has become a cornerstone of the company’s portfolio. For payments and high-risk operators, the useful part is not the conference chatter itself but the direction of travel: more focus on regulated markets, more scrutiny, and a dedicated space for the tech stack that sits under both.
- Liliana Costa, World Gaming Business’ Director for Latin America, said iGB L!VE in London was well received across the online gaming community, based on post-event research, press coverage and social media analysis. One recurring point was the value of having an international mid-year meeting point to continue discussions started six months earlier at ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona.
- According to Costa, attendees highlighted a mix of practical industry topics at the show: the latest AI developments and how they are being implemented, player value, retention and engagement, personalized content, influencer marketing, tighter regulatory oversight, consumer protection, and keeping regulated markets the preferred option for users. In other words, the usual conference buzzword soup, but with compliance and monetization in the same bowl.
- Costa said participants recognized iGB L!VE for its “less noise and more action” atmosphere compared with other events on the circuit. She added that the show’s format gave attendees more time to build connections that translate into collaborations and business.
- On the event strategy side, Costa said the combination of a focused product offering at a manageable scale was well received. She noted the event attracted approximately 13,000 attendees, and that the different pace encouraged longer conversations with a more concentrated audience.
- Costa also pointed to ICE Barcelona 2027, where Clarion Gaming plans to launch a Digital Transformation and FinTech Pavilion, described as a new space dedicated to technologies reshaping the sector. For PSPs and acquirers, that is the part worth watching: when the industry carves out a FinTech zone, it usually means payments, infrastructure and compliance are no longer side topics.
Costa said Brazil is now a cornerstone of World Gaming’s portfolio, underscoring how central Latin America has become in the company’s view of the global gaming market. For high-risk payment providers, that matters because Brazil is not being framed as a side market here; it is being treated as a strategic anchor.
