Esportes Gaming Brasil Group uses identity checks, responsible gambling tools, and pre-publication compliance review in Brazil

Esportes Gaming Brasil Group uses identity checks, responsible gambling tools, and pre-publication compliance review in Brazil

Carol Luna says the company’s compliance work is not a side function, but part of the operating stack: identity verification, facial recognition, liveness checks, payment controls, partner training, and an ad review channel all sit inside the same workflow. For PSPs and other high-risk payment teams, the useful bit is simple: this is what a regulated betting operator in Brazil says it needs to keep users inside the legal ecosystem.

  1. To mark National Online Betting Day on August 20th, the company focused on consumer protection rather than branding. It published seven checks bettors should verify before registering or moving money: the .bet.br domain, the operator’s presence on the official list maintained by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA), verified company channels, identity verification procedures, payment methods, responsible gambling tools, and customer support.
  2. The company also highlighted warning signs that often show up on illegal or cloned sites: promises of guaranteed profits, easy money, or recovery of losses. Its message was that .bet.br is the starting point for verification, but not the only check. In other words, the domain name matters, but the rest of the user journey matters too.
  3. On security, the Group said it uses identity verification, facial recognition, and liveness checks to help prevent underage access, identity misuse, and fraud. It also applies responsible gambling controls, including financial and time limits, self-exclusion, and payment processes linked to the bettor’s own account.
  4. Compliance, in Luna’s framing, goes beyond tools. The company says it embeds procedures and standards across the business, including the way it works with agencies, influencers, affiliates, and other partners. It runs ongoing training on responsible gambling and compliance, and it has a dedicated onboarding program for partners and influencers ready for activation.
  5. The Group has also created an online educational program focused on sports integrity for clubs and athletes across Brazil, and it holds Integrity in Sports forums with sponsored clubs. On the payments and media side, it offers practical guidance through its Responsible Gambling Playbook and a channel for partners to submit advertising content for Compliance review before publication.

For high-risk operators and their payment providers, the message is the usual one, just stated cleanly: user protection, partner controls, and payment integrity are not separate projects. They are part of the same infrastructure, and in Brazil that infrastructure now has to work across the entire regulated betting stack.
