OKTO Payments signs A2FBR partnership and connects six betting brands to Pix in Brazil

OKTO Payments has entered the Brazilian market as A2FBR’s payments partner, enabling Pix for six betting brands: Pinnacle, Matchbook, BetEspecial, Bolsa de Aposta, Fulltbet and BetBra. For high-risk operators, the point is simple: in Brazil, if Pix is not there and working properly, conversion takes the hit.

  1. OKTO Payments said the integration with A2FBR covers six brands within the group’s multi-brand setup, with separate operational configuration for each platform. That matters because the payment stack was not bolted on as a one-size-fits-all layer; it was built to handle a group structure where each brand needs the same Pix performance but its own operational setup.
  2. Pix is doing what Pix does in Brazil: the method accounts for 54.7% of all transactions in the country and more than 99% of betting-sector volume. OKTO also cites 25 million active users, which it says makes Brazil the fifth-largest market in the world. For PSPs and merchants, the commercial message is hard to miss: Pix is not a nice-to-have rail, it is the default expectation.
  3. Leonardo Chaves, General Manager of OKTO Payments in Brazil, said the integration was “highly sophisticated” because of the scale involved — six brands, each with its own operational structure, all requiring the same level of Pix performance. He said OKTO designed its systems to work in multi-brand, demanding operations by combining Pix infrastructure, treasury, banking services and liquidity capacity with dedicated operational support.
  4. Beyond Pix, A2FBR will also use OKTO Payments’ Internet Banking, which the company describes as a banking and cash management platform for merchants. The feature set includes a real-time dashboard, detailed statements, Pix and internal transfers, bill and tax payments, invoice issuance, a multi-user approval station and granular access permissions.
  5. OKTO says the new setup creates a base for broader product adoption and continued performance gains over the course of the partnership. For operators, that usually means the payments relationship is being used as a wedge: start with Pix, then add treasury and control tools once the integration is in place.
