Digitain and Silkbet strike UK online betting partnership
Digitain has announced a strategic partnership with Silkbet to support the operator’s plans in the regulated UK market. For high-risk payment teams, the practical point is that Digitain is not just supplying sportsbook and casino tech here: the stack also includes payments inside a single turnkey platform.
- Under the deal, Digitain will provide Silkbet with a complete “turnkey” solution for its UK online operations, combining sports betting, horse racing, virtual sports, casino aggregation, CRM, and payment capabilities on one platform.
- Digitain says the platform is backed by its infrastructure and 24/7 support. The company is also a technology provider licensed by the UKGC, which gives it operating experience in a tightly regulated market where product quality, reliability, and local know-how are not optional extras.
- For Silkbet, the partnership is meant to provide technology designed to support online growth while helping the operator build a competitive offering tailored to the needs and expectations of British players.
- Digitain executives framed the deal as part of the company’s continued expansion in Europe. Dario Jurčić, Chief Commercial Officer for Europe and Africa, said partnerships like this show the strength of Digitain’s approach and its ability to support operators in highly competitive regulated markets such as the UK.
- Alexander Jones, Regional Sales Director for the UK and Western Europe, said the UK market demands high standards in technology, product quality, reliability, and local expertise. Silkbet CEO Ed Kelly added that the company is trying to bring back the “emotion, personality and a genuine focus on the customer” that he says defined the early years of online betting, rather than simply recreating the past.
For PSPs, acquirers, and banking partners, the useful detail is the platform scope: sportsbook, casino aggregation, CRM, and payment capabilities are being bundled together for a UK-regulated operation. That usually means fewer moving parts for the operator, but also tighter expectations on onboarding, transaction monitoring, and continuity of service.
