Gamblers Connect launches Proof of Play to document deposits, KYC and withdrawals in operator reviews

Gamblers Connect has introduced Proof of Play, a verification method that adds documented transaction evidence to its operator reviews. For high-risk PSPs, the useful part is simple: the platform is no longer just describing payment flows, it is recording what happened in a real-money test, including where identity checks were triggered and how withdrawals were handled.

  1. Proof of Play is based on real-money testing by Gamblers Connect’s newsroom. The platform says the method is designed to show what happens during a deposit, gaming session and withdrawal, rather than relying only on general descriptions of payment procedures.
  2. The company puts special weight on identity verification because the requirements at withdrawal can differ from the requirements at funding. In its own test sequence, Gamblers Connect records the practical process it experienced and publishes the result on the relevant operator page.
  3. Each completed Proof of Play test records six categories: deposit method, deposit speed, KYC trigger, withdrawal speed, withdrawal fee and transaction reference. Deposit speed measures how quickly funds are credited through the selected method, while withdrawal speed tracks the movement of funds after a withdrawal request, not merely the moment an operator marks the request as approved.
  4. The KYC trigger shows when identity verification is actually required during the tested process. The published framework separates levels of verification from no additional verification through email confirmation and basic identification to full document submission. For PSPs, that distinction matters because “KYC required” is not one thing; it is often a sequence.
  5. Where the payment method supports a publicly accessible blockchain record, Gamblers Connect includes a transaction reference so readers can check the relevant public explorer. The publication also records the month and year of the test, and says the result should be treated as a verification record for a specific point in time, not as a permanent statement about every transaction or customer experience.

The company says its editorial and commercial functions operate under separate reporting lines, with verification work handled according to a defined methodology. Luka Dimitrijevic, Partnerships & Operations Lead at Gamblers Connect, is identified by the company as part of its commercial team.
