Delasport launches native horse racing in the UK with BetMakers

Delasport has gone live with a fully integrated horse racing product for several UK-facing sportsbook brands, using BetMakers Technology Group’s racing stack. For operators in a mature regulated market like the UK, the point is not just adding another sport; it is controlling the betting flow, wallet, and cross-sell inside one sportsbook experience.

  1. Delasport says the launch is the next stage of a partnership previously announced with BetMakers Technology Group, moving from integration and development to live deployment. The racing capabilities are now embedded directly into Delasport’s sportsbook ecosystem, so horse racing sits inside the same front end rather than as a separate product bolted on at the side.
  2. The live rollout is already active with several UK-facing sportsbook brands. BetMakers is supplying racing wagering technology, data and services, including fixed-odds services, racing data, pricing, trading tools and wagering technology.
  3. The UK context matters here. Delasport describes it as one of the world’s largest and most mature regulated betting markets, with sports betting GGY (gross gaming yield) of approximately €3 billion. Online horse racing betting in the UK is approximately €900 million in annual GGR (gross gaming revenue), which explains why racing product quality still influences operator choice.
  4. Delasport says players access racing through the same wallet, account flow and unified bet slip used for football and other sports. In practice, that gives operators one account experience across racing and the wider sportsbook, while also creating more room to cross-sell between horse racing, football, cricket and other sports.
  5. The company also says operators can apply the same branding, personalisation, recommendations, promotions, engagement tools and account experience across racing and the sportsbook. Delasport said the product has delivered strong early performance, although no numbers were disclosed.

For PSPs, acquirers and banking partners watching high-risk and regulated betting, this is the familiar pattern: the operator value sits less in “we have horse racing” and more in whether the product is native enough to keep the player inside one wallet, one KYC flow, and one conversion path.
