Michigan Gaming Control Board authorises DraftKings multi-state poker launch

DraftKings has started offering multi-state internet poker in Michigan through the Bay Mills Indian Community as its operator partner, after the Michigan Gaming Control Board confirmed the company met all regulatory requirements. For high-risk PSPs and operators, the key point is simple: Michigan is now live alongside Pennsylvania and New Jersey in DraftKings’ multi-state network.

  1. The Michigan Gaming Control Board said DraftKings is authorised to offer multi-state internet poker in the state, joining its existing presence in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
  2. DraftKings has already begun operating its product in Michigan through the Bay Mills Indian Community as operator partner. The board said the company satisfied all regulatory requirements before approval.
  3. Henry Williams, MGCB executive director, tied the decision to the regulator’s process and the partnership with Bay Mills Indian Community, saying the board remains focused on fairness, security, and player protection as Michigan’s multi-state poker network grows.
  4. Michigan joined the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement in 2022. Other member states are Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
