Merkur Bets goes live on EveryMatrix in Denmark with 1,000+ terminals across 230+ shops

Merkur Group has moved Merkur Bets in Denmark onto EveryMatrix’s omnichannel platform, combining retail betting, online sportsbook, and online casino on one technology stack. For operators and PSPs, the point is straightforward: this is what platform consolidation looks like when a brand wants one operating model across shop terminals and digital channels.

  1. EveryMatrix announced the launch on 7 October 2026, saying Merkur Bets is now live in Denmark on its turnkey omnichannel technology after a complex migration and integration programme. The deployment covers more than 1,000 sports betting terminals across more than 230 shops, alongside the online sportsbook and online casino.
  2. Merkur Bets is the new identity of the Danish Cashpoint operation. The rebrand happened in September 2026 as part of a broader move to bring Merkur’s sports betting brands under a more consistent international identity. In March, EveryMatrix had already said Cashpoint would become Merkur Bets once the platform migration was completed.
  3. The thing that matters operationally is that retail and digital now sit in the same technology environment. EveryMatrix says its omnichannel setup can support shared player wallets, cross-channel engagement, and centralized back-office control. On paper that sounds tidy; in practice it means fewer moving parts when the same operator is running shop terminals and online products under one roof.
  4. EveryMatrix described the project as a complex omnichannel deployment because the system has to work across different channels while accounting for market-specific operational and regulatory requirements. That is the sort of detail acquiring teams tend to care about, because channel mix is never just a product question when compliance and settlement flows are involved.
  5. This is not the end state. EveryMatrix said further Merkur brands in Austria, Germany, and Belgium are expected to migrate to its turnkey platform technology. The stated goal is to create a shared technology foundation across those markets, with Denmark serving as the first stage of the wider programme.

For high-risk payments teams, Denmark here is less about a single launch and more about what follows from it: a multi-country operator standardizing on one platform, one operating model, and one set of controls across retail and online betting. That tends to change how PSPs, acquirers, and banking partners evaluate volume, channel risk, and operational complexity.
