Italy’s 2025 gaming concession reform is pushing operators toward local content and tighter technical execution
Italy’s new online gaming concession framework is changing what operators need from suppliers: not just access to a broad library, but games that are locally relevant, commercially distinctive and technically dependable. For PSPs and payment partners in high-risk gaming, that usually means a market where product, retention and delivery discipline matter more than broad marketing claims.
- Italy introduced a nine-year online gaming concession framework in November 2025, with a €7m fee per concession. Each concession permits one national-domain website, which changes how operators structure their Italian presence and how they think about long-term supplier relationships.
- The Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) updated its PGDA technical protocol in August and September 2026. In practice, that adds another layer of technical requirements on top of the concession rules, so content partners need to stay aligned with both commercial expectations and regulatory detail.
- TaDa Gaming says it has more than 86 titles certified under Italy’s 2026 regulations, including games developed specifically for the Italian market. The company says its portfolio includes slots, crash games and fish-shooting content, with Gallina Fortunata built for Italy, and titles such as Gold Mine Express, 40 Sparkling Crown and 3 Lightning Blitz in the mix.
- TaDa Gaming also highlighted its fish-shooting games, including Ocean King Jackpot and Mega Fishing, as a way for operators to diversify beyond standard casino categories. The pitch here is not just “more content,” but different gameplay mechanics: multiplayer interaction, skill-influenced decision-making and customisation options.
- TaDa Gaming director of business development Ray Lee said suppliers must deliver distinctive content and remain responsive to evolving commercial and technical requirements. That is the core commercial message in Italy right now: retention, post-launch performance and reliable integration matter as much as getting listed in the first place.
