You Know Your Market, So Build the Sportsbook It Deserves

In LatAm, operators know their players better than any provider does. The catch is that a standard sportsbook frontend still makes the provider’s template, tools, and roadmap decide how much of that local knowledge actually reaches the screen.

  1. A managed sportsbook backend can cover sports data, odds, trading, risk management, anti-fraud, bet processing, and settlement. In other words, it is not just an odds feed with a nicer label; it is the operational layer behind the sportsbook.
  2. The fixed-frontend model is convenient at launch, but it starts to pinch as soon as the operator wants to change the bet slip, shorten onboarding, move live markets higher on the page, or build a payment-led promotion. Every one of those changes depends on what the provider supports and when its product team gets around to it.
  3. That matters because extra steps in the deposit flow can reduce conversion, and weak content structure can hide the markets players actually care about. Generic promotions can also push acquisition costs up without improving player value. When several operators run the same basic frontend, the products start to look alike, and competition drifts toward bigger bonuses and higher media spend.
  4. Frontend ownership gives operators control over the player journey. They can test new flows, change how content is presented, and react as player habits shift, instead of waiting for a provider roadmap. The backend can still be shared across the region, but the experience itself needs to be adapted country by country.
  5. Building the full sportsbook in-house gives control, but it also creates a large cost base. The operator has to source or build trading, sports data, risk systems, fraud controls, bet settlement, infrastructure, and round-the-clock support, while also hiring specialist teams and continuing to invest as volumes grow. A managed sportsbook API shifts that burden to the provider while leaving the operator in charge of the frontend, product roadmap, player journeys, bet slip, market display, promotions, and conversion flows.

GREAT_SPORTSBOOK API says its stack covers sports data, odds, trading, risk management, anti-fraud, bet processing, and settlement. It also supports up to 30,000 bets and 54,000 wallet transactions per second, backed by more than 2.
