DragonBet chooses BVGroup for BV:360 migration in Q1 2027

Independent UK bookmaker DragonBet has signed a long-term technology partnership with BVGroup to move its online sportsbook and casino operations onto the BV:360 platform in Q1 2027. For payment and risk teams, the interesting part is not the brand gloss but the stack: sportsbook, casino, player account management, payments and compliance will all sit inside one platform.

  1. DragonBet will migrate its online sportsbook and casino operations to BVGroup’s BV:360 platform in Q1 2027. The company said the move marks a significant milestone in the next phase of growth for both businesses.
  2. Under the agreement, DragonBet will use BVGroup’s sportsbook, casino, player account management, payments and compliance capabilities, while keeping control over the parts that define its customer proposition, brand and regulatory operations.
  3. For DragonBet, the deal is described as a major strategic investment in the technology and infrastructure needed to support its long-term ambitions in the UK and Ireland. For BVGroup, DragonBet becomes one of the flagship partners on BV:360, which the company says supports its modular sportsbook and gaming technology model for independently licensed operators.
  4. DragonBet was founded by brothers David and James Lovell and traces its roots to the family’s racecourse bookmaking business. Since launching online in 2022, it has become one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent sportsbook and casino brands, with a profile built around horse racing and a differentiated customer proposition.
  5. David Lovell, CEO and co-founder of DragonBet, called the agreement a landmark deal and said the company’s growth plans require continued investment in the technology and infrastructure behind the business. Eoin Ryan, B2B director of BVGroup, said DragonBet had chosen BVGroup to support the next phase of its journey after both sides found a shared philosophy around entrepreneurial thinking and sustained technology investment.

The practical takeaway for PSPs and acquiring teams is straightforward: DragonBet is not outsourcing its brand or regulatory identity, but it is moving core operating layers — including payments and compliance — into BVGroup’s platform. That is the sort of migration that can reshape processor routing, controls, and integration work well before Q1 2027 arrives.
