Virginia Fonseca’s VF Digital ends Blaze partnership after MPDFT legal action in Brazil

VF Digital, the agency of Brazilian influencer Virginia Fonseca, said on Friday (21/8) that it has ended its commercial partnership with betting platform Blaze. The move comes after the Ministério Público do Distrito Federal e Territórios (MPDFT) filed a civil action in court over alleged abusive advertising practices tied to gambling content on Fonseca’s social media.

  1. The termination was confirmed in a VF Digital note: “A VF Digital comunica o encerramento da parceria comercial de Virginia Fonseca com a Blaze. A decisão foi formalizada observando os termos aplicáveis à relação contratual, encerrando-se de forma regular este ciclo.”
  2. According to G1, the MPDFT’s public civil action questions how betting-related content was presented to Fonseca’s followers. The case is still moving through the Brazilian courts.
  3. The MPDFT filed the lawsuit in July, naming both the influencer and the company. Its filing alleges possible abusive practices in the way the betting promotions were framed for her audience.
  4. Virginia Fonseca’s press team and legal counsel were contacted for comment on the end of the partnership, but had not responded by the latest update in the report.

For PSPs and acquiring teams, the useful detail here is not the celebrity angle; it is the enforcement path. In Brazil, advertising practices around betting content are now directly feeding into court action, which is exactly the sort of issue that can turn a commercial arrangement into a merchant-risk problem.
