Bet365 Enters West Virginia, Expanding to 18 Regulated U.S. Jurisdictions

Bet365 Enters West Virginia, Expanding to 18 Regulated U.S. Jurisdictions

Bet365 has launched in West Virginia, bringing both online casino and sports betting to the state and extending its U.S. footprint to 18 regulated jurisdictions. For PSPs and acquiring teams, the timing matters: the launch lands just before the NFL season, when sportsbook traffic tends to get louder and payment performance gets tested in real time.

  1. West Virginia is now live for bet365 customers with both products available locally: the company’s sportsbook and its online casino. The casino offering includes the free-to-play Daily Prize Matcher game, alongside its broader range of sports betting features and casino content.
  2. The company framed the move as part of its North American expansion strategy. Bet365 Head of Development Trip Stoddard said West Virginia is “another important step” in the company’s continued expansion across North America, adding that the focus remains on “quality, depth and functionality” across the platform.
  3. The launch comes ahead of the NFL season, which bet365 expects to help it build a stronger local position. In practical terms, that means the operator is entering the market just as one of the biggest betting cycles of the year is about to start.
  4. Bet365 is also said to be preparing further U.S. expansion, with at least one other jurisdiction expected to go live before kick-off. The company has been growing state by state in a market still dominated by FanDuel and DraftKings.
  5. For high-risk payment providers, the useful detail is not just that bet365 is adding another regulated state. It is that the operator continues to push into U.S. sports and casino verticals at a moment when the market is also seeing new betting-adjacent products, including prediction platforms, changing the competitive setup around acceptance, traffic, and risk.
