Brazilian fintech Bloquo raises US$3.67M seed round to build stablecoin payment infrastructure

Bloquo, a Brazilian fintech focused on stablecoin-based financial infrastructure, has closed a seed round of more than R$20 million, or approximately US$3.67 million. For PSPs and institutions watching high-risk payments, the useful part is not the headline number; it is that the company is explicitly building regulated settlement and cross-border payment rails on top of stablecoins.

  1. The round was co-led by Crescera Capital and Triaxis Capital, with participation from Lattice Capital and other investors. Bloquo said this was its first institutional venture capital raise, after a pre-seed round with angel investors in 2025.
  2. Founded in 2024, Bloquo says it now serves 125 active institutional clients and processes an annualized volume of US$2.000 million. Its model combines payments services, liquidity provision, and digital settlement infrastructure for financial institutions.
  3. The company has applied for registration with the Central Bank of Brazil as a virtual asset intermediary. In Brazil, it operates under the virtual asset regulatory framework and the Central Bank’s resolutions on these services. In the United States, it is registered as a Money Services Business with FinCEN.
  4. Bloquo says the fresh capital will go into five areas: regulatory capital for operations in Brazil, progress on the authorizations and licenses it needs, product and technology development, team expansion, and commercial growth. The operational goal is to increase the share of transactions processed directly through its platform and APIs, rather than through intermediary processes and structures.
  5. The company also said it plans to accelerate three business lines in the coming months, although the text provided cuts off before naming them. For payment operators, the signal is clear enough: Bloquo wants to become infrastructure, not just another client-facing fintech layer.

Carlos Russo, Bloquo’s CEO, said the funding does not change the company’s thesis, but gives it the resources to execute at a larger scale. He added that the startup has seen “relevant institutional demand” for stablecoin infrastructure and wants to turn that into a more regulated, technological, and scalable platform for Brazilian financial institutions and companies.
