Cashpoint Denmark becomes Merkur Bets and adds online casino on EveryMatrix platform

Cashpoint Denmark has operated as Merkur Bets since September 22, 2026, with the rebrand now bringing its retail business, online sports betting, and, for the first time, an online casino onto a new EveryMatrix platform. For high-risk operators and PSPs, the relevant detail is not the paint job — it is the move to a common tech stack across retail and digital, with Belgium, Germany and Austria next in line.

  1. Cashpoint Denmark ApS has been rebranded as Merkur Bets in Denmark, following earlier brand changes in Germany and Austria. The rollout is part of Merkur Group’s broader plan to unify its European sports betting operations under one brand and one technical foundation.
  2. The relaunch includes a switch to a completely new digital platform from EveryMatrix. That platform combines the land-based sports betting offering with online sports betting and, for the first time, an online casino, replacing the previous in-house software solution.
  3. Cashpoint Denmark has been operating since 2012 and is now Denmark’s largest land-based sports betting operator, with a market share of over 50 per cent. The company’s brand identity is also being updated across around 200 betting shops.
  4. The operational change is not limited to the front end. Merkur Bets Denmark says customers will see a new user interface on terminals and a revamped online offering, while the underlying platform creates a common technical base for retail and digital channels.
  5. Denmark is the first market in the cross-market migration. Merkur Group says the offerings in Belgium, Germany and Austria are also set to be migrated to EveryMatrix’s technology, with the aim of rolling out product improvements more quickly across all markets.

For payments teams, the important part is the standardisation angle: one platform, multiple markets, and a casino product now sitting alongside sports betting. That usually means new merchant flows, new risk controls, and a fresh look at how the operator wants acquiring and payment coverage structured by market and vertical.
