Paybis Hosted The Garden Room at TOKEN2049 Singapore as Its On/Off Ramp Became 7x Faster
Paybis used TOKEN2049 Singapore to put people in the same room, then pointed to the part operators actually care about: the payment flow. The company says its one-click On/Off Ramp now loads seven times faster than it did a year ago, with total page load time down by 86%.
- On the second and final day of TOKEN2049 Singapore, Paybis hosted The Garden Room at Gardens by the Bay, bringing together 200 founders, investors and senior executives from traditional finance, crypto, payments and fintech. The event took place at Marguerite, the one-Michelin-star restaurant inside the Flower Dome, and the venue was taken over exclusively for the evening.
- Representatives from ChangeNOW, Paybis and INPUT delivered short introductory speeches, after which the evening was left to networking. There were no panel discussions and no formal conference program, which is often the point when people stop performing for the room and start discussing actual business.
- According to Paybis, several introductions from the event have already turned into follow-up discussions, with participants arranging calls and exploring potential partnerships after TOKEN2049.
- Paul Afshar, CMO at Paybis, said the company’s recent work on its payments stack is aimed at making crypto access “dependable” and pointed to the 86% improvement in page load speed as a conversion driver. Paybis says the upgraded On/Off Ramp is now one of the fastest crypto on-ramps available to wallets, exchanges and other platforms.
- The upgrade is already live for all Paybis partners and works across every payment method in the one-click flow, with no changes or configuration required from partners. Paybis also supports alternative payment methods including Pix, Skrill and PayPal across different markets, and says that among payments made with EU-issued cards, 82% have been approved so far in 2026.
Paybis also said that in May 2026 it received two licences in Latvia: a MiCA licence for regulated crypto-asset services and a payment-institution licence for fiat payments, including the movement of customer funds. For PSPs and high-risk merchants, that combination matters because it separates the crypto licence from the fiat rails instead of bundling the whole thing into one vague promise.
