US Treasury sanctions eight Canada-registered exchanges over Iran links
Payments High Risk

OFAC has added eight Canadian-registered financial and exchange companies to its sanctions list, saying they were involved with Iran. For PSPs, acquirers, and banks, the useful part is not the headline label; it is that US exposure now extends to the firms’ identifiers and their TRX wallets.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), part of the US Treasury, sanctioned BC Ltd, Ontario Ltd, B Galaxy Inc, CCC Inc, Darvish Exchange, Diverse Trade Inc, Nia Nations Currency Ltd, and Top PC Technician Inc.
The companies are described as operating in currency exchange, money transfer services, and cryptocurrency transactions. The Treasury also included both the Canadian firms’ details and the TRX wallets associated with them in the sanctions designation.
Once a name lands on this list, any assets within US jurisdiction are blocked, and US persons and entities are prohibited from dealing with the listed firms. In practice, that means payment flows touching these names or linked wallet infrastructure need to be treated as sanctioned exposure, not ordinary compliance noise.
