Loterias CAIXA replaces betting ads on CazéTV after Brazil’s ban on gambling publicity

Loterias CAIXA has started appearing in CazéTV content just days after Brazil’s federal government banned advertising and sponsorship for fixed-odds bets. For PSPs and high-risk operators, the point is not the logo change itself: it is the speed with which a regulated channel can be reallocated once the legal ground shifts.

  1. The shift was noted by Coluna Faria Lima, from VEJA. During the 2026 World Cup, KTO, Betnacional, and Bet365 ran advertising campaigns on CazéTV broadcasts, making betting brands highly visible on the channel.
  2. That presence drew attention from the authorities and from Conar, Brazil’s advertising self-regulator, which opened cases and recommended suspending the ads after questions about how betting was being promoted during matches.
  3. The legal trigger was Provisional Measure 1.394, published on Thursday (25/9). It bans the operation and advertising of fixed-odds betting and requires the removal of sponsorship signals within 10 days. Within 30 days, the operators’ authorizations must be terminated.
  4. Loterias CAIXA is outside that restriction. MP 1.394 says the ban does not apply to other lottery formats authorized by law, which means traditional lotteries can continue operating normally.
  5. The ad swap shows how quickly sports media inventory gets repriced when betting exits the mix. Even before the measure was published, broadcasters and digital platforms, including CazéTV, were already looking for commercial alternatives.
