Kalshi Signs New US Open Deal as Its Sports Partnerships Keep Expanding

Kalshi Signs New US Open Deal as Its Sports Partnerships Keep Expanding

Kalshi has added the US Open to its partnership roster, becoming the event’s official prediction market partner. For high-risk payment and gambling-adjacent businesses, the point is not the tennis branding itself; it is that Kalshi keeps pushing deeper into mainstream sports while its sports contracts remain in active legal dispute in the US.

  1. Kalshi signed a multi-year deal with the US Open and will be visible on-site through signage and across the tournament’s digital platforms. In practical terms, that is the company buying mainstream distribution, not just trading volume.
  2. USTA CEO Craig Tiley said the partnership is meant to support “the next generation of fan engagement” while “ensuring the integrity of our sport.” Kalshi co-founder and CEO Tarek Mansour said the company wants to give fans “even more ways to engage with the game they love.”
  3. Kalshi is already partnered with the International Tennis Integrity Association, which uses the relationship to monitor games in real time and oversee potential match manipulation. That matters because tennis is one of the sports most exposed to match-fixing and sports fraud, and real-market data is useful when integrity teams are watching for odd patterns.
  4. The partnership announcement landed while Kalshi was also dealing with legal and regulatory pressure. On August 28, the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously rejected Kalshi’s bid to stop Nevada gaming regulators from applying state gaming laws to its sports contracts.
  5. The court upheld a prior decision by a federal judge in Las Vegas who had lifted an injunction that temporarily allowed Kalshi to keep offering those contracts in Nevada. The new ruling said gaming laws supersede federal regulation in the case of event sports contracts.

Kalshi has also permanently banned former US Congressman George Santos after he challenged the platform publicly. For PSPs and partners watching this space, the useful signal is simple: Kalshi is still expanding its commercial footprint while the legal framework around its sports products is being tested state by state.
