SBC Summit will put “invisible KYC” and AI-led game design on stage in Lisbon on September 30

SBC Summit will put “invisible KYC” and AI-led game design on stage in Lisbon on September 30

The SBC Summit’s iGaming Products and Design track will bring casino operators, game developers, and tech specialists together on Wednesday, September 30, at the Technology and Innovation stage. For PSPs and high-risk operators, the useful bit is simple: this is where onboarding friction, compliance tooling, and product design get discussed as one system, not three separate departments pretending they do not know each other.

  1. The session is part of SBC Summit’s dedicated iGaming Products and Design track and is framed around how operators can create smoother, smarter, and more engaging casino experiences. The organisers say the goal is to look at what makes a casino product stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
  2. Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and founder of SBC, said players judge a casino product by simplicity, intuitiveness, and entertainment, while the compliance stack, data infrastructure, and commercial decisions stay hidden in the background. His point is the one operators and providers already know in practice: the visible UX is only the final layer of a much larger payments, risk, and identity machine.
  3. The first panel will focus on RegTech and ask whether “invisible KYC” is really viable or just another industry fantasy. Because sign-up remains one of the biggest drop-off points for players, the discussion will test whether a faster, smoother onboarding flow can work without lowering compliance standards. Speakers include Elen Barber, Executive Director – Online at SkyCity, Matteo Iannucci, Business Development Europe at GeoComply, and Giorgi Tsamalaidze, CLO at Random Systems Georgia.
  4. The second panel, “The Art and Science of Game Design: UX, Data and Player Psychology,” will look at how behavioural data and player psychology are reshaping game design. Ivan Korkin, Head of Account Management at Kanggiten, Tim Poole, Editor of Global Gaming Insider, and Marko Žulj, CEO and co-founder of Koom Games, will discuss how AI can be used to interpret player signals and feed that back into product design.

For high-risk businesses, the angle here is familiar but still useful: the best conversion work usually happens where onboarding, compliance, and product design stop fighting each other. SBC is essentially putting that argument on stage and asking whether the sector can make registration less painful without turning KYC into theatre.
