Visa Direct moves stablecoin prefunding from pilot to commercial production with Inyo Global

Visa has moved Visa Direct’s stablecoin capabilities out of pilot mode and into full commercial deployment, with Inyo Global as the first partner to put the feature live. For PSPs, money transmitters and payout-heavy businesses, the point is simple: prefunding cross-border payouts with USDC can now happen in near real time instead of waiting for traditional funding windows.

  1. Visa said the new setup lets businesses running cross-border payouts through Visa Direct prefund accounts with USDC in near real time. The company had spent the past year testing how stablecoins can simplify cross-border funding and money movement, and those tests have now been pushed into day-to-day operations.
  2. Inyo Global is the first partner to bring the feature into production. Inyo, which serves money transmitters, fintechs, banks and payment businesses, has integrated Visa Direct’s stablecoin capability into its platform so clients can prefund cross-border payouts with USDC almost instantly rather than waiting for standard funding windows.
  3. Inyo says its platform already provides a single connection for onboarding users, managing fraud and compliance, accepting payments, and sending domestic and international payouts across more than 180 countries. The new Visa Direct integration sits inside that existing API stack, which matters because most operators do not want yet another funding rail bolted on as a side project.
  4. Vira Platonova, Global Head of Visa Direct, said: “The next chapter for stablecoins is adoption.” Visa framed the move as the transition from experimentation to live implementation, with the stated goal of giving businesses more flexible and efficient ways to fund and move money globally through Visa Direct.
  5. Visa introduced stablecoin prefunding and payout pilot programs through Visa Direct in 2025. Those pilots were aimed at cross-border funding, liquidity management and global money movement, and the company is now moving those capabilities from test environments into commercial operations.

Robson Dantas, Chief Product and Technology Officer and co-founder of Inyo Global, said the implementation gives money transmitters, fintechs and payment companies “a new way to fund their payouts” that is available around the clock and runs through the same Inyo APIs they already use. For high-risk operators, that is the real read-through: stablecoin prefunding is no longer just a pilot headline, but a funding mechanism being wired into production payout flows.
