PlayCity fines Slots U.A. UAH 4,755,850 after finding third-party deposits and ignored corrective order

Ukraine’s gambling regulator has hit Slots U.A. LLC, the operator behind BetKing and 777.ua, with two penalties that add up to UAH 4,755,850. For payment teams, the interesting part is not the headline number; it is the familiar compliance failure underneath it: player accounts were funded by third parties, and an earlier regulatory instruction was not followed.

  1. According to reports published on 15 October 2026, PlayCity imposed UAH 4,323,500 for allowing deposits made by third parties into player accounts. In plain English, the regulator is treating the link between the player’s identity and the source of funds as non-negotiable.
  2. The second penalty was UAH 432,350 for what PlayCity described as failure to comply with a previous corrective order. Together, the two sanctions total UAH 4,755,850, or approximately UAH 4.76 million.
  3. The payment-related finding goes to a basic control most PSPs and operators know well: the money used for gambling activity has to match the player relationship the licence is built around. That is why source-of-funds logic, account verification, and traceability matter so much in licensed online gambling.
  4. PlayCity’s action also shows that an inspection is not the end of the story. If a regulator issues a corrective order, failure to act on it becomes a separate enforcement issue, not just a continuation of the original one.
  5. This was not Slots U.A.’s first run-in with the regulator. In May 2026, PlayCity reportedly imposed a penalty exceeding UAH 432,000 after the company did not provide requested information within the required timeframe.

For operators in Ukraine, the message is straightforward: payment routing, customer identity, and regulator cooperation sit in the same compliance stack. Miss one of them, and the bill can arrive twice.
