Kazakhstan AFM runs two coordinated operations against P2P network serving offshore iGaming operators taking players from KZ

Kazakhstan’s AFM carried out two coordinated operations against people linked to a P2P platform that serviced offshore iGaming operators taking players from KZ. For PSPs and operators, the key point is that the payment chain ran through local bank accounts in Kazakhstan, with identity layering across multiple nationalities.

  1. Authorities said the scheme used bank accounts in Kazakhstan opened in the names of citizens of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. That setup matters because it shows how the payment flow was anchored in local banking while the beneficial activity served offshore gaming merchants.
  2. Five people were arrested.
  3. Authorities seized $50k USD and 27k USDT.
