Gr4vy partners with Unlimit to add local payment methods across Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific

Gr4vy partners with Unlimit to add local payment methods across Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific

Gr4vy has teamed up with Unlimit to give enterprise merchants access to a wider set of locally preferred payment methods through a single integration. For high-risk merchants expanding market by market, the practical value is obvious: fewer bespoke integrations, faster rollout, and more local rails that can actually get transactions through.

  1. Gr4vy, the US-based cloud payment orchestration platform, announced the partnership with Unlimit on 8 October 2026. The deal runs through Gr4vy’s existing single integration layer, so merchants do not need to rebuild their payment stack to tap into Unlimit’s acquiring and local payment network.
  2. The methods covered span several key regions. In Latin America, the integration includes Pix and PicPay in Brazil, plus OXXO, Efectivo and Mercado Pago. In Africa, merchants get M-Pesa and Airtel Money. In Asia-Pacific, the list includes WeChat Pay, GrabPay and UPI. Europe is also in scope via MB WAY for Portugal and SEPA Instant.
  3. John Lunn, founder and chief executive of Gr4vy, said the partnership gives customers “the flexibility to add the local payment methods they need as they expand internationally, without rebuilding their financial stack.” Irene Skrynova, chief executive of global payments at Unlimit, said payments are “fundamentally local,” pointing to customer preferences, currencies and processing requirements as the source of the complexity.
  4. The commercial logic here is less about orchestration as a buzzword and more about coverage. As the source notes, the orchestration layer is increasingly commoditised; the differentiator is the depth and geographic spread of the payment methods behind it. For enterprise merchants, that means the provider with the broader local network has a better shot at becoming the default route for new markets.
  5. Unlimit says its network spans more than 180 countries and holds licences in 97 jurisdictions. That matters because the partnership adds real geographic weight, especially with Pix: Brazil’s central bank-operated instant payment scheme processed more than 60 billion transactions in 2024, which makes it hard to treat Brazil as optional if Latin America is in the plan.
